Denise nominated her twin girls Kayla & Lily. They are 3.5 years old. Find out why we think they rock!
What Makes Your Twins Rock?!
As babies I never really felt that my girls had that “twin bond.” We have a 6 year old daughter as well and they were more interested in her than each other. Over the last three years I have watched their bond strengthen and grow til they truly need each other. While each is completely independent – if one isn’t there you can feel the emptiness from the other. Bedtime now consists of them needing to fall asleep together and when we move them into separate beds as we go to bed you can often hear in the middle of the night one of them running back to the others bed. These girls are amazing! They have crazy fun personalities yet are also so loving with their hugs and kisses. I am so blessed to have them as my own!
What is a favorite twinnie moment?
The girls had their holiday concert at school – Kayla had been sick that week so she was watching with me as Lily’s class got up to sing their song. The size of the crowd watching got to Lily and she just stood there frozen – not singing (luckily not crying) – Kayla then jumped from my lap, ran up to Lily and hugged her and said “It’s OK Lil – you can sing.” How sweet is that!?
What is the funniest thing they have said?
I overheard Kayla on the monitor saying “Lily…Lily Joan wake up!” Lily replies “Kayla I sleepin’.” It’s quite for a minute then Kayla says “I tell mommy you wake Kayla up – you say Kayla Finn wake up!” Lily then starts yelling at her until Kayla says “Hey Lily – you not sleepin’ any more!”
What do they want to be when they grow up?
Kayla wants to be Cinderella and live in a castle. Lily wants to work at Disney World and live in a rainbow house with rooms for all of us – but she will still share with Kayla – and their husbands!
We’re sending the girls a Create & Play Kitchen from Step2 for hours of pretend fun with this interactive kitchen. The stove top lights up and makes sounds when you use the pots on them and who wouldn’t love the dry erase board on the refrigerator door to doodle on! (This kitchen also come in earthy gender neutral colors in Canada.) The New Traditions Kitchen also comes in neutral colors and is at the same price point. The Create and Play Kitchen is good for ages 2 and up.
Do your multiples rock? Have they done something extraordinary for others? Have they beat the odds against them and thrived? Nominate them to be our next twinnies of the month!
