Cabin Fever? Go see Chipwrecked!

I have to say that as a Mom of 3 kids under 4, I don’t get out much.  But with the kids on break from pre-school and me on break from school we decided to go to a movie!  This was their second trip to see a movie in the theater.  I decided to take them to see Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.  I was not sure if it was a good choice but it was the only movie showing nearby with a G rating.

My almost 4 year olds were quiet and watched the entire movie!  They were enthralled with the chipmunks.  Not only are they in nearly constant motion, they are cute and fuzzy.  I can’t imagine a kid that won’t like them.  I liked that they were listening intently to Dave explain to Alvin why he needed to follow the rules.  Of course, Alvin went on to make more mistakes but there were consequences and he learned why it was important to listen to Dave!

Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part I – A Review

I attended the opening of Breaking Dawn at 12:01 am. The movie was nothing short of fantastic. Like the other movies in the saga, this one is visually stunning. The locations were absolutely beautiful. The long awaited wedding scene was incredibly well done an beautiful. The wedding reception scenes were hilarious and filled the theater with laughter.  The honeymoon provided a mix of passion and more laughter. But what followed, left me sitting on the edge of my seat for the remainder of the movie. I cannot wait to see the next one!

Make sure you stay for the credits so you don’t miss the ‘extra’ scene. If you are looking for an escape from the day to day, this movie definately fits the bill. I would add that if you have been allowing your pre-teens to watch the saga; you may want to watch this one before you take them. This movie was much more graphic than the others.
