For the past few days we’ve been taking a closer look at the HP Envy. HP has teamed up with Twiniversity so we can help them spread the word about this great new printer that would be a great addition to our Twiniversity Families lives. On Thursday we learned all about it’s smooth sleek style and Friday brought info about the web based printing.

Today we are talking about the printing itself! The ENVY offers complete versatility and photo printing in one. This printer can print photos, make copies, scan reprints, produce prints from the Web and use eFax® to fax without a phone line.

Free Style Printing?

In today’s homes many of your electronics are expected to do more than what they might have originally been intended to do. Most cable boxes now record, some microwaves now can be used as convection ovens, and our phones have almost exclusively become our phone/camera/camcorder.

Now our printers are turning into something that would resemble a piece of equipment from the Transformers but in a good way! This week, Twiniversity is giving away just that, three HP ENVY’s, and you’ll find this printer is MUCH more than a printer.

One of the amazing functions of the ENVY is the selection of apps? Wait, does your printer have apps? No, I didn’t say your phone or your tablet, I asked if your PRINTER had apps? Don’t feel bad, mine doesn’t either. The new HP ENVY has cornered the market in the printer application division. With a few touches of the screen you can activate these apps and print recipes from Epicurious, coloring pages from Nickelodeon, Disney and Sesame Street, movie tickets from Fandango, newspapers from USA Today and MORE!

Personally I’ve been a fan of HP for as long as I can remember and have had my share of HP printers. Currently I’m using the Photosmart C6380 for all things Twiniversity, which has been the workhorse of our office. BUT it’s not the most…shall we say… appealing piece of equipment I’ve ever seen.  Hey, that’s just my two cents! The printer works GREAT, but it’s a bit big and clunky.
