Milk Bands Help Breast Feeding Mom’s of Multiples (Giveaway)

You’re a new mom of twins and very sleep deprived. Your sense of time is distorted and you can’t remember when you fed your babies last, who you fed on which breast and how long they fed. Many first time mothers or mothers with low-birth weight babies or those who want to get their babies on a scheduled, find tracking these items important. I know I did. When my twins were infants I started charting their feedings on paper, but that didn’t work very well. I would forget where I placed the chart and I couldn’t find a pen and if the twins fell asleep after nursing… well  there was no way I was going to get up to write that down and I wasn’t going to remember any of those things later. The solution I found that worked great was Milk Bands!

Milk bands are silicone bracelets that have a dial on them so you can keep track of the hour you fed your babies, how many minutes they fed for and which breast they fed on; without the need to change which wrist you have it on (like other nursing bracelets). Just flip the bracelet over, one side says “LEFT” and the other “RIGHT.” And no one will be the wiser since silicone bracelets are very popular right now so you will be fashionable. They are a great gift for any expectant mother, especially mothers of multiples. You can enter to win a set right here! Fill out the form and we will pick a winner Friday.

Breastfeeding Twins

Breastfeeding, one of the most natural things a woman can do can also be one of the most difficult.  What about when you have two babies to feed? Twiniversity asked it’s members about their experiences.  We received responses from MoMs that chose not to breast feed, MoMs who pumped for their preemies or difficult to latch babies and MoMs who breastfed successfully for more than a year.

If you are planning to breastfeed, start with a plan but stay flexible because the babies may have a different plan!  Here are some tips from Twiniversity members: More
