Spring Cleaning: Bathroom

Usually the bathroom is the smallest room of the house but the most loathed to clean. I always hated to clean my bathroom because of the strong smells of harsh chemicals I thought I had to use. Although there are times that chemicals such as bleach are needed (like in the instance of mold or bacteria problems) there are other options that will not leave you gasping for a breath of fresh air during your typical bathroom cleaning. This will especially help if you are currently pregnant. Here is what you need:

  1. Broom
  2. Mop
  3. Floor cleaner
  4. Toilet brush
  5. Glass/mirror cleaner
  6. White distilled vinegar
  7. Baking soda
  8. Bleach (possibly)
  9. Rags/brushes/sponges

(Note: White distilled vinegar works as a “green” disinfectant killing many germs, bacteria and mold and you don’t have to wear gloves while using it! Do not use on granite since it will etch the surface thus ruining it!) More

Bebe au Lait, known for pairing beautiful prints with luxurious fabrics, has released a pair of new nursing cover prints for Spring. Katori and Oxford are perfect additions to their already amazing collection of stylish fabrics already available.

Their new Katori print has subtle accents of tangerine that are woven in among navy and gray Asian flowers in Katori – a gender-neutral pattern that is a re-imagined take on our immensely popular Ascot pattern.

Bebe Au Lait’s new Oxford pattern has light blue calligraphy against a backdrop of slate gray. This pattern is also gender-neutral and  blends both simple and intricate design elements to create a stunning combination. Available now at Destination Maternity and Motherhood Maternity Stores.

Both of these new patters make excellent additions to their current print collection and two lucky winners will be chosen to receive one!

Simply enter the info below and let us know which pattern you like best and we will be announcing the winners this Friday via our Facebook page. The winner will be notified via email by Friday May 18th. Good Luck and happy iTwinsDay!

Ants Are Invading! What Do You Do?

When we found out our life was being “invaded” by twins we bought a house. Little did we know that we would have another invasion- ANTS! Every spring they reappear in my kitchen in search for something sweet. As parents we have enough to worry about without the added stress of finding an army of ants in the kitchen every morning! So Recently I turned to our Twiniversity friends for some tips to help me with my ant problem and you did not let me down. I asked “What do you do to keep ants out of your kitchen? Have you found something that truly works?” Here are some of your answers- More

Happy Mothers Day!

The Twiniversity is taking the day off! We hope you are spending your Mother’s Day the same way we are… doing a few less chores, getting a few more kisses, and sitting back to admire the family who loves you more then anything. Enjoy this special day!
-Nat and the Twiniversity Gang.

Twins –
there’s two to wash, there’s two to dry; there’s two who argue, there’s two who cry.
One’s in the mud, having a ball; the other holds a crayon… another marked wall.
Some days seem endless, my patience grows thin.
Why did God choose me to be a mother of twins?
The answer comes clear at the end of each day, as I tuck them in bed and to myself I say…
There’s two to kiss, there’s two to hug; and best of all, thank you, God, for two to love.

The Lost Art of Letter Writing

You get the mail every day. It’s just part of your routine. You sort through junk mail and bills, but then something catches your eye! An envelope with handwriting on it! It’s a letter from a friend or family and you can’t wait to open it!- One of the simplest joys in life is receiving a personal letter in the mail. They are a rare treasure in this day and age. This form of communication has been replaced by the telephone, e-mail, texting and social networking. While these new forms of communications have allowed people to stay in touch better, their still isn’t anything like the excitement of getting a letter in the mail. There is something more personal and warmer about words written. More

Free Burp Cloth and Free Shipping from our friends at Bebe Au Lait!

One of our favorite product peeps (and SuperMoM Sponsor) is running an amazing promotion for Mother’s Day!

Bebe Au Lait is offering shoppers an amazing deal on their awesome nursing covers. From now through May 14th you can buy one regularly-priced nursing cover and receive a free burp cloth 2-pack AND free shipping!

Not sure what you are currently using as a nursing cover, but Bebe Au Lait covers are stylish, comfortable, and are more like a fashion accessory then a nursing cover.

Here on the streets of NYC, you see them all around, not only just being used as a nursing cover, but as a sun shade as well. Heck, I wish they made nursing tops (hint hint Bebe Au Lait) in matching fabrics since I absolutely LOVE their patterns. My personal favorite, totally the Mint Chocolate! (Before the rumor mill begins… I’m not nursing, but I remember how long I wore my maternity tops even after the twinnies were born, and I can’t be the only one who did/does that.)

While you are on their website, check out their other amazing products too. My personal favorite, HANDS DOWN, are their quibs! It’s a quadruple bib (get it…quib!) since the bib is totally reversible and has four clean sides. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these! Plus this urban chick can’t help but love their cityscape pattern!

So this Mother’s Day, buy yourself a little gift of fashion from Bebe Au Lait and get a free gift and free shipping too!
