Every year at Twiniversity we use the month of December to highlight some of our amazing families. Some folks have the 12 Days of Christmas, but with twins, shouldn’t we have 24 days? So from Dec 1st through December 24th we will feature an amazing family and tell you a bit about them.
Every family selected will receive a small token gift from us as a little Thank You for letting us honor them. This year we are also very lucky to have partnered with Step2 and will be able to make some amazing recommendations for holiday gifts for your own multiples. If you would like your family featured, please check out the full details. Entries are still being accepted.
We asked their mom a few questions and here is what Jennifer had to say about her twinnies and the holidays:
What are your multiples names? Bella and Seth
How old are they? They turned 2 in September
What was your most memorable moment from the day your multiples were born?: The fact that I had my daughter naturally and then had to have my son by Cesarian because he decided he liked it better in there with more room!
How do you plan on celebrating the holidays with your family this year? This is our first year in our new home and in a new state. We are a military family. So we are going to have a quiet Christmas here at home and hope to make some new traditions here!
Does your family have any holiday traditions you can share with us? We always bake and decorate cookies. And every year we make a new ornament for our tree. I love seeing all the homemade decorations my kids have made over the years. (The twins are not our first children. We have 5 total. Bella and Seth are our babies and last born.)
What was YOUR favorite gift you received for the holidays as a child? My favorite gift when I was little was my Big Wheel. I loved that thing. My best friend Amy (whom I am still friends with. Friends for 24 years!) would race them down our street.
Finish this sentence: The best part of being a parent of multiples is learning new things from them. Having older children I thought I knew a lot about the obstacles you face with kids. But the twins surprise me with new things all the time.
