Happy Holidays!
Every year at Twiniversity we use the month of December to highlight some of our amazing families. Some folks have the 12 Days of Christmas, but with twins, shouldn’t we have 24 days? So from Dec 1st through December 24th we will feature an amazing family and tell you a bit about them.
Every family selected will receive a small token gift from us as a little Thank You for letting us honor them. This year we are also very lucky to have partnered with Step2 and will be able to make some amazing recommendations for holiday gifts for your own multiples. We asked Jennifer a few questions and here is what she had to say:
How old are they?
19 months
What was your most memorable moment from the day your multiples were born?:
We decided to be surprise on their sexes so hearing my husband say “It’s a boy” twice that night was amazing. I thought for sure I was carrying a boy and a girl the entire pregnancy, yet when my husband said boy, boy it was the 2 most perfect sounding words ever.
How do you plan on celebrating the holidays with your family this year?
Now that our boys are a little older I really look forward to experiencing their first taste of Christmas through their eyes. Tree lightings, Christmas Light tours, carolers, roasted chestnuts. It’ll all be so much fun this year.
Does your family have any holiday traditions you can share with us?
Every year the day after Thanksgiving we drive up to the mountains to cut down our own Christmas tree and we always spend Christmas Eve after dinner driving around looking at lights.
What was YOUR favorite gift you received for the holidays as a child?
My grandmother gave me a set of crochet needles and yarn one year and taught me how to crochet. Now that she’s gone, I’m still able to feel close to her when I pull out my crochet bag.
Finish this sentence: The best part of being a parent of multiples is watching my boys share their lives and experiences together, knowing there will be another person to look out for them the rest of their lives.
