Did you know that Twiniversity has a forum subgroup called, “Twiniversity Gold.”?

This subgroup was created so that Twiniversity could generate a bit of income used exclusively for our philanthropic efforts.

In the past, we have given gift cards for groceries; contributed to special funds; and helped families of multiples, who have experienced a catastrophic incident.

Most recently the funds from Twiniversity Gold were given to the Cassin Family. Jen Cassin is a fellow Mom of Multiples and a member of the Lake County Mothers of Twins Club. Until recently, Jen and her husband Dave lived a fairly typical life in the northern Chicago suburbs with their preschool-aged twins. Things changed drastically in early 2009, when Jen’s speech was slurring. Relieved that it wasn’t a stroke, their relief quickly turned to anxiety when Jen was diagnosed with ALS. Since 2009, Jennifer’s condition has worsened and she can no longer care for her children. Jen waited her whole life to have children, and now has to watch from her bed as others care for her miracles. Twiniversity was pleased to contribute $300 to this family in hopes of easing the burden of their rising medical bills.

Twiniversity Gold looks forward to helping more families who are experiencing catastrophic life events but we need your help.

A Twiniversity Gold Membership costs $15.00 a year and over 90% goes directly into a fund, created just for these special families of multiples.

In addition to today’s giveaway, as a “Thank You” for being part of our special subgroup; we try our hardest all year long to have a separate prize during our iTwinsDay’s just for this subgroup. Being a member of our Gold group, gives you a greater advantage of winning** as well.
